Easy weeknight meals that are flavorful and healthy are game changers! They also can be hard to come by. These Honey Mustard Pork Chops only take about 20 minutes to make and are tender and delicious. They also are very low in sugar, dairy-free, and Paleo, and just need a veggie side to make a complete meal.
In my opinion, pork chops are one of the easiest meats to make, but they also can dry out really fast if you aren't careful. That is why I always add a sauce to them so that they are super tender. This homemade honey mustard sauce is the perfect amount of sweetness and tang. It also has almost no sugar in it, which is not easy to find in most honey mustard sauces. I use maple syrup instead of honey to keep this recipe paleo-friendly and low in sugar. Maple syrup is very sweet so you don't need to use very much of it and combined with the coconut milk, there is the perfect amount of sweetness to it.
Another major component of this sauce is obviously the mustard. It can make a huge difference in what kind of mustard you use here. I like to use course dijon mustard and just a touch of smooth dijon. My favorite course ground mustard is from The New Primal! It is really tangy, which is exactly how I like it, and goes well with the sweetness in this honey mustard.
Tips for Honey Mustard Pork Chops:
- If you are doing a Whole30 you can still make this by omitting the maple syrup. You can use 1-2 dates and blend the sauce together before pouring it on the pork chops.
- You can air fry or grill the pork chops and then add them to the sauce, but I like just making this in one pan for easy cleanup.
