Football season is back and one my of my favorite things to cook on Sunday afternoon is chicken wings! You can add so many different flavors to mix them up. There is nothing better than crispy chicken wings while watching your favorite team. These Chili Lime Chicken Wings are a little bit spicy and a little bit limey. I love dipping them in some jalapeno ranch!

Everyone does their wings slightly differently. Whether you are grilling, baking, or air frying- there is no wrong way! This recipe works great for any method you decide to use. I always love using my air fryer to get them extra crispy, though! The key to the air fryer is to cook them plain for a few minutes, then adding the sauce and putting them back in. I have found that creates an extra crispy layer on the outside of the wings versus cooking them all the way then coating them with the sauce.

For the jalapeno ranch- I use my Dairy-free ranch recipe and just add a couple of ingredients. I add half (or full if you like really spicy) of a jalapeno, a handful of cilantro, and half a lime juiced. I blend this all together using a blender or immersion blender and blend until smooth! It is very fresh and has a slight kick to it at the end which goes really nicely with the Chili Lime Chicken Wings.

Tips for Chili Lime Chicken Wings:

    1. If you do not have JOI cashew base you can use cashew butter or your favorite mild flavored nut butter.
    2. Patting your chicken wings dry before cooking helps get them crispy.
    3. Follow the steps for cooking almost all the way through then adding sauce and cooking more if you are using the oven or the grill.

In this recipe I used Greensbury Chicken wings, which are my favorite! You can use the code ALTITUDE for 10% off your first order. I also use JOI cashew base, which is simply just ground cashews that can be used to make cashew milk or any of your favorite sauces. You can use the code ALTITUDE for 10% off on their site, as well.
