About

Hey There, I'm Hayley

I am a Colorado native who enjoys all things outdoors, sports, and family (including my dog, Poppy). I am a full-time health coach and recipe creative.

This blog combines my professional enjoyment of health coaching with my passion for eating really good food. I have forever been a foodie and loved cooking, but I never thought it would turn into this!

My Health Story

Throughout high school and college, I suffered from horrible stomach issues- bloating, constant discomfort, heartburn, etc. I was majoring in Nutrition and thought I was eating fairly healthy, I was eating everything I was learning about… which was mostly plant-based. Yet, no doctor could tell me what was wrong and they definitely didn't care what I was eating.

At the same time, my mom was on a journey to turn her health around because she recently got diagnosed with MS. This is when we came across the Whole30. Whole30 helped me gain control over my stomach issues that I have suffered from for years. After a month of experimenting with different foods, I finally started learning what works best for my body. (I will give you a hint, it wasn't the plant-based diet I was accustomed to).

I started cooking with lots of different products. I had never been gluten or dairy free so it was all new to me. I had a blast trying out new foods and new recipes… and I felt AMAZING.

Now I am living happy and healthy, knowing how foods truly impact my body. This doesn't mean "Whole30" forever, but instead finding freedom within my diet to sustain a healthy way of living and enjoying the foods around me.

My Education

With a Master's in Health Promotion and a B.S. in Nutrition, I have a passion for helping people become their best selves. I am also a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. I've found that simple, sustainable changes are the key to success.

I enjoy working with clients from teens to older adults and with people who suffer from various autoimmune disorders and chronic diseases, such as Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and diabetes. But my true passion is helping people who suffer from gut discomfort that is unexplainable! I believe that food is medicine and want to help people to take back control of their own lives. Giving us energy, freedom, and the ability to still enjoy every bite.

What You Will Find Here

Most of my recipes align with the Whole30 and Paleo lifestyles, but every once in a while, you will see ones that I choose to enjoy on occasion that do not fit into these categories! This is how I approach my own lifestyle- eating what makes me feel my body best most of the time, but also enjoying some foods that simply bring me joy sometimes.

Recipe Development

Creating recipes that you will bring to your table to share with your loved ones is so special to me! Many of my recipes are childhood favorites and my personal comfort foods that I re-create into a healthier version. I carefully select products that I think have the best ingredients so you can nourish yourself and your family. I love to choose specific textures and flavors that prioritize both tastes and
